I don't hang much here anymore, can't stand the constant name calling and disrespectful tone CC has largely degenerated toward, but this thread caught my eye...
IF in fact the BJ car was one of the 'Completition Series' car built by McC FOR Shelby to sell, it is in fact a "Real 1", a genuine Shelby creation. Having McC build it is no different than having someone in Mexico, South Africa, Vegas or Poland be involved in the build. It's still a Shelby at the end of the day IF Shelby ordered it be made.
IF the modern 'Continuation Series' cars, produced by various outlets and FINAL assembly done by a 'dealer', not Shelby directly, are 'real', then the BJ car qualifies as even 'more real' being done by McC/Shelby combination WITH final assembly done in house!
Amazingly low price for this car, period! Even with it's notorious history, which makes it even more interesting in my opinion.
As Ron (Computerworks) mentioned, what if it's the Brian Angliss built version? OK, then it's not a "Real 1", but it's pedigree is rock solid! A fascinating history built by a legend within the Cobra world to SPITE Shelby! It should have gone for considerably more than the selling price regardless of wether McC or Anglis built it. But it's pretty clear ONE of them did.
If it's NOT a McC or an Anglis car, someone paid to much! It's not even an 'accurate' build when you come right down to nit picking it.
