Makes sense - your party has managed to grow government and double the national debt in just 7 years, so i shouldn't be surprised.

I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. If anybody hits us with missiles we will know where they came from and we will be able to obliterate them in return. This is the essence of MAD. We should use this money to develop better detection for WMD entering the borders.

I will not weaponize space.Good - they violate a treaty we signed. Congress can change this if they want.

I will slow our development of future combat systems. Bad - WTF is he thinking!?!

And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending. On the fence - this could go either way, depending on the level of objectivity of the people on the board.

Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals. Bad - WMD is a good deterrent against a first strike of both conventional and WMD. Having nukes on hair trigger alert is not good, though.
