Yes, get a 500# 1/2" inpact, you'll use it a lot. A 300# is considered pretty weak. Just because it's 500#'s, doesn't mean you should crank down your lug nuts to 500#'s, you should use a torque wrench to torque them down to 100#'s. But when removing them, it will take a whole lot more than 100#'s.
