I turned the camera off during the throwing of tools!!!

The camera was (if I remember rightly) a Canon SureShot G2 (thanks again Craig) with the RemoteCapture software. An excellent combination for this kind of thing.

I mounted the camera at the top of the wall and had a shelf below where I sat a laptop which I plugged in any time I was working on the car. The software is very configurable so I set the frame rate according to the activity I was undertaking. While I was lying under the car running fuel lines, I set it at one shot every 30 minutes (boring). Installing the engine – one shot every 30 seconds (just to *capture the moment*).

I then wrapped up the images to a movie file then added the extra footage with MS MovieMaker.
