Someone (in the Bush administration) said we could 'trust' the 'Bankers' to regulate themselves with the bail out money.
I tell ya, my mouth dropped open when I heard that! We got INTO this mess on the assumption they could be trusted to 'do the right thing', for the economy, the USA, the world, etc. Unbelievable that AFTER the bail out the administration still didn't get it. Sheeshh, no wonder that guy with the big ears won!
An yet, all the regulation we could possibly throw at them is not the final solution. At some point these guys have to take personal responsibility, something I fear will be simply impossible with the greed level so high. I don't have a solution, but recognizing the problem is at least the first step in finding one.
