dont know why the head gasket was replaced , i'm guessing a minor leak. I'm guessing that if a engine can make it to 5k miles, it would have broke by now. SA has had some bad press lately but a large % seem to be happy w/ there work. some of the parts that were used are

eagle h-beam BBC rods w/orig. nodular iron crank ground to 4.125 also uses BBC journals
