I just called that friend of mine and he said they mounted his remote filter on a cross brace that ran across to the other frame rail just behind his radiator. We both had Classic Roadsters and that is where I had mine mounted and it hung down just about 1/4th inch higher than the
oil pan and I could take it off in a few seconds as there was plenty of room. In fact I almost used a double filter mount there. I wasn't sure on his 429 if he had room there as my small block stroker left a lot of room to work around.
