Default I am not 100% sure about what you are asking

Snakebit From the info I have gotten, the superstreet trans is a heavyduty trans for high HP motors on the street with about a 600 HP and torque rating. I am looking at one for myself to replace the 6 spd richmond that I have run in the car. This is a street trans with 450 HP and torque rating. It works fine but have no interest in breaking it. It will go in my 79TA car. I have been told that the 2, 5 spd trannys except for the case don't have alot in common on the insides. I am talking about the superstreet and the older 5 spd with the 1-1 5th gear. I am using a G-force clutchless trans now with a 1-1 5th gear. It shifts like butter. The faster you shift the better. Cost was $6K. It's good for 900ft of torque and 1K HP. I have not broken it in 8 years of hard racing. I didd send it back for a checkup and it was perfect. I am going to send it back for a 1st and second gear change in the spring. I am dropping the 3.15 first gear and going to a 2.87. 5th is still 1-1. My trans has no synro's except for reverse. It's dogs and ramped collars. It's a little noisy with the straight cut gears. This is the strongest gears for a trans. Some trannys have 22 degree gears and some have 30 to stop any noise. IMO the high the degree to the gears, the less strength they have and holdup under hard abuse. David Kee's would be the one to ask. He's a pro and sell trannys. I am from the school of hard knocks and being simple. Rick L. Ps do you bring your cobra to E-town for the swap meets??
