As I said above, you don't have to have your receipts for the engine and tranny, if you have not bought the tranny and engine yet. However, you do have to give a reason for not having them and you must give them an estimate of the engine, transmission and the installation costs. The State will charge you fees and sales tax based upon the total build cost including any estimates. Do not attempt to be dishonest or you can face perjury since you sign the Statement of Construction.
