Default Castle Doctrine

Hi, All;

I awoke late last year to a guy walking through living room. He had already loaded up a few things and was making alot of noise when I took a bead on him with the laser sight from my handgun. He had no idea that anyone was home and I don't think a baseball bat or club would have dis-suaded him very much. He swore over and over he was sorry but when the cops showed he swore he'd be back and I told him I'd be ready then too.
Many states have passed a Castle Doctrine Law, (basically; your home is your castle and you are in no obligation to flee an intruder, AND can protect it and your family)

My attitude is this: My right to protect myself and my family comes from God (or whatever higher power you believe in). The 2nd Amendment GUARANTEES that right, doesn't grant it. There is no power here or anywhere else that can tell me NOT to protect myself and my family in the best way possible.
