I bought my Superformance car in 2002 with 1300 miles, a real 427 FE with Shelby heads and cam for high $40's. I sold the car to Mobilenuke for mid 40's and he hated it so much he wrecked it on the 60.. I made up that last part.
My car cost $105K when it was built and there was a much stronger economy when I bought it, so I paid a lot for it. I would guess that a used SPF would be in the low to mid $30's right now if you could find anyone to buy it at all. I just had a friend offer me a 1999 911 factory Aerocoupe car, black over black with proper 19" wheels and HK springs - a 6 speed car- really super nice car. It is worth somewhere between $13-16K, I can buy a similar car through Penske for under $20K even with their markup. It was $101K before tax... People are not buying new cars at all, drive down FLW and see if anyone is in the car lots. If they are not buying basic transport, they are not buying toys... Sorry, that is the truth. Hold on to the car for 24 months and it will be better.
