Try Robbin at Midwest Classic Insurance - I think he's a sponsor here. I use him. I think they do rollers.

But for your homeowners policy - if your car is not a roller (FFR and others) it is just a stack of parts - why wouldn't it be covered? Maybe an inventory list submitted to your agent would help.

EDIT - sorry - just re-read your post - your rented garage may be the actual problem - since it's not actually part of your home. Could try renters insurance from your agent on an additional policy.
