Blame it on the design. When filling it to the top, the gas is close to the overflow. As the gas heats up and expands, some goes out the overflow when its parked.

The easy fix is to stop filling b/4 its 100% full and or fill the tank before your ride, not at the end of the ride. No more gas on garage floor for me.

I will check my sending unit gasket, just to make sure, but the puddle occured under the rear passenger tire by the filler pipe.
