Same Back To You Brent From 'down Under'.
Brent,
I know what you have been through. I had my Gall Bladder removed about 20years ago and its the best result as far as operations are concerned. I haven't had any problems since and can eat whatever I choose. Prior to its removal, if I had accesss to a large calibre firearm when I was having my attacks, which incidentally are far worse than child birth so I've been told by the experts, I would gladly have blown my ugly head off.
I hope that you fully recover as soon as possible. I bet your wounds are not like mine. 20 years ago, they sliced you from the middle of the chest down to your naval, which leaves a most attractive scar. Then you go and have Open Heart Surgery which I had in 1990 and they continue that scar right up to my throat. I look like like the living victim of a Post Mortem.
In 2007 I had a complete shoulder replacement on the right side. In September, 2008, I had my right kneee done and two days before Christmas in 2008, had my right knee done. I feel a lot better now. I should live a long and happy life with my Cobra which should be finished by April, 2009 (That's if I can can get in and out of it of course.)
If you have a couple of small puncture wounds in your stomach from the Arthroscopic Gall Bladder surgery, dont feel too bad about it. Your pretty fortunate.
On behalf of all your avid reader's 'Down Under', I would like to wish all you U.S. Cobraphiles a healthy and prosperous 2009.
My only suggestion as far as the Web Site is concerned is this. The Forum has spread right around the world, which is really fantastic. A large number of us also do a fair bit of International travel. What I would like to see, especially in these economically unstable times, is that we should use each other through this Forum to secure free accomodation at our homes, local tours etc., when we are holidaying or visiting other overseas countries which have a link to this Forum. It's a two way street and I for one, would be willing to participate in that type of a program. I would even suggest 'Meet and Greets' at the airport as this can be a difficult time in a strange Country for the traveller who hasn't been to that location before.
Not only would it cement relations between members of the Club around the world, but it would also reduce the cost of overseas holidays.
Just a thought. Hope to hear your response. and get well soon.
Regards Baz.
