Mike and Rich did have a 289 project in the works. I was at the factory in Lee's Summit a couple of summers ago and saw it. Nice work, even had an
oil cooler scoop, but not a slab side. Definitely some flared fenders there.
I mentioned this in an email to the current owner and he indicated he would be interested in producing a 289 model, and mentioned something about the project mule I had seen being chopped in two..........nothing further. I keep my eyes on the forum on the Hurricane website, not much happening these days there.
