At least that's the way I heard it....THEN some second-owner (third?) balooga launched it and himself off a towering cliff overlooking the Pacific.

Dunno if any of that is true, but Cosby himself admitted later that his wife was onboard for the "maiden voyage", when he stuffed it. She obviously gave him The Ultimatum after that.
