Lol! Not far from the truth! Some black folks have a funny cultural obsession with creating names by throwing bits of this and that together. Down here the less edumacated folks tend to try to pay homage to both parents by combining parts of both names into a moniker for the kid (eg; Thomas + Keisha = Tomeisha).
Some interesting combos do arise at times. One poor waitress working at a friend's establishment had the misfortune of springing from the union of a man named Cletus and a lady named Doris... She had a good sense of humor about it but last I heard, she now uses her middle name, which thankfully came from her catholic patron saint.
