most store brands contain fillers and lots of garbage. Want more details pm me. Those products at your vets not bad, but the vet gets a kickback for selling them so he has a monetary interest in selling them, not just a pure ethical one.. The one's you see in stores that starts with an I is pure garabge. read the ingredients. Solid gold is a great product.
My wife has been in the business12 years and knows which product is good and which one just advertises more often.

Good thread.

Made in America, great brand tip, Joeg.

Out of three dogs we have one left, the oldest but smallest, a Maltese (the other two were a pair of Dobies).

Something is making her sick lately but it might be just age (about 17). She seems OK most of the time but occasionally barfs or gets the trots. Never did before. Who knows.

She has one eye left and it's blind, or down to shadows only. She's as deaf as a post. She still plays and bounces around if she thinks she can lead someone to fill her dish, but she can't find the dish too easy and runs into walls often. Never gives up though. I hope I got that much heart towards the end.

I suppose we'll be thinking of getting another dog soon. Feeding her/him American sounds like a good choice. The alternative would be to grind our own dogfood plus scraps, I suppose. I wonder if a guy couldn't almost come out on that pricewise anymore? Maybe food for people is cheaper and safer.
