He was a Classical Liberal. Very different from the Kennedys and Pelosis (sounds like a disease!
) running around today. There is a HUGE difference between classical liberals and neo-liberals, just like with classical conservatives and neo-cons.. Today Jefferson would probably be considered a Libertarian.
