My chioce of the Oxford was also based upon the European history of the knee and the fact that there are people 20+ years out with the Oxford that are still functioning. I don't plan to wear it out from marathon running (I'm 56) so I think it may last me a while. Besides, they can "open me up" and replace my "bearings" (the plastic floating surface) without a full re-replacement.
