Make sure the pan itself doesn't have a small dip or dent in that area. Then if you don't want to drop it, you could try using some of the Right Stuff. I have fixed two oil leaks that way. It is a black substance that you get in a small can and I got mine at NAPA. I dried off the areas that were leaking and then put some on my finger, it is very sticky so have something to wash it off with if you do this, and smeared it along the edge where the leak was and made sure to press it in so some of it would actually go into where the gasket was. I then let it set overnight and never had another leak in those areas.
