My cable never leaked where it connects to the transmission, it was where the cable is crimped to the metal piece that connects to the transmission. Its been a week and not a drip. Amazingly my speedometer is a steady as a rock, accurate to withing 5mph depending on your speed. I love how it goes counter clockwise.

On a side note check the tiny allen head screws on your sun visors, they face the windshield, I went over a bump and one side fell off. Pulled into to an autoparts store to get an allen wrench and stumble across a guy who bought a 1969 gt500 and still owns it, I asked how much he wanted and he said he has a blank check sitting on his mantle from a developer that calls him every 6 months wanting to buy it. At that point I felt it was out of my price range, LOL!! Guy says he will never sell it.
