I experienced similar issues with the "leaking" speedo cable and clutch reservoir. After numerous experiments, I finally broke down and purchased a new, and shorter, speedo cable from my local NAPA dealer. The shorter length reduced the "bounce" to a very manageable level and it's been leak-free for a little over a year. As for the clutch reservoir------I tried everything to limit the seepage. No luck. Finally purchased a billet aluminum reservoir from Olthoff Racing ($45), had a local machine shop fabricate and weld a hose fitting to the bottom of the reservoir ($40), and had a friend make an aluminum bracket to utilize the existing firewall mounting holes (no charge). The result-----much better looking, more durable, and, more importantly, no more leak.
