That is great, but please write to Senator Benoit expressing your backing for the bill and get any of your friends and people that you know to do so too. That is the only way this bill will get past the people fighting it is if he has enough letters, interpreted by the Senators as votes lost if they vote the bill down. Just think how nice it would be to be able to walk in any time of the year when you are ready and get your SB-100 number. His aide that I talked to said they were pointing out that these cars are only driven on a limited basis and not daily drivers and that many areas were to cold in the Winter and to hot in the summer to drive them much. That 500 number is a joke and has made a mess of everything. And the state would take in a lot of money on registrations under the SB-100 that they now don't because people can't get a number and won't build or buy a car. And up here in Northern Calif. it is almost impossible to get one of them so the few people that did get one went and spent the weekend in Sacramento near one of the friendly DMV offices.
Good luck with the build and I hope you have it going soon. You will enjoy driving it for sure.
