Wes,
Great story and nice to find out that you weren't the little angle that we had all come to think you were. Wasn't life fun back then when we never had the Govt. taking care of us and making sure we were safe and the police were just normal people doing a job and would give you a break. I certainly had more than my share of breaks from city, state, and highway patrol people that stopped me for some reason or another. Like speeding through Oroville on an old worn out bicycle that they had to chase me clear to the levy across town because there were no brakes and I could barely keep it up right it was wobbling so bad. There is a long downhill street coming right into the heart of town and I started at the top and the speed limit I believe back then was 35mph and the cop that stopped me said I was doing 55 but if I was crazy enough to do it on a bike in that shape a ticket wouldn't help any. He wished me good luck and asked me to stay off the main streets.
