Wayne,
I am not up that much on TVs, but from what I have seen in the Automotive market, most are using 115VAC TVs and using a 12VDC-115AC power inverter. You can pick up a 1000 Watt inverter for under $100 if you shop around online. Simple installation, you just connect the cables to the battery, and it has a couple of plugs on it, but you can extend it out to a panel mount that looks like it belongs there. 1000 Watts can run a microwave, and a refrigerator. If you try to run too much on 1 of these, you will pop the circuit breaker on it, so be sure it is installed in a place that is accessible. I am planning on installing a 4-500 watt one in my truck with an outlet in the front and rear seat consoles next to the Cigarette lighter power outlets. This would be good to power DVD players or laptops on road trips. Also eliminates the need to get car chargers for everything, as your regular charger now works.
