If you don't understand Quantum Physics or Thermodynamics are you delusional enough to think you could send a person into space and bring him back safely ?? Of Course not. Now I suspect VP Cheney was using hyperbole when he said that deficits don't matter, they do. People without the training and background usually relate the federal budget to their household or business budget but that analogy is misleading. You and I are not the Goverment and we do not have their obligations, opportunities and time frames. The Gov. does not spend money in the sense that you and I do, it simply reallocates resources from one sector to another according to the publics priorities as expressed in the elective process. Now you might not agree with those priorities and so you have a right to express your opinion and vote your values but you should recognize that you probably don't have all the facts or all the solutions . Again, quit driving your wife nuts and get a hobby. See you in 6 months...
What do you mean we "don't understand Quantum Physics or Thermodynamics" here?
Start a thread on it and we'll finish it for you. We apply it all the time to our cars. What is it you want to know?

And what do you mean by "You and I are not the Goverment(sic) and..."?
Of course we are the government. Geez. That's what democracy is all about. We vote and things happen. The US government is not a detached entity as in "them vs us". And we did "send a person into space and bring him back safely". Several times, starting a long time ago. You really should get out more.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to vote on many of the corporate boards that are now nearly running the country. We may have to vote, one way or another, to change that. The buck starts here. We the people...

"The Civil War was a mistake...we should have let them go and we still should."
OK. You got me here. This could be the start of a brilliant new perspective. Care to elaborate?
