I'm not sure if there are lots of reasonably priced Chevy parts around because people like their power so well that they twist them a little too tight, or if they just last so long and don't break into pieces and become usless. Do have to say that is sure would be nice to have a distributor in the front of the engine, if I ever had to mess with it. I pretty much forget about it since I never have to work in the engine bay. Oh, Wait, youse guys don't know anything about that...
