Default Throttle body position

I had a thought on my issue with the engine/bonnet clearance.
If I turn the throttle body 90 degrees the throttle posn indicator, which is the main culprit fouling the bonnet, is then out of the way.
It makes setting up the throttle cable a bit tricky and moves the idle speed control solenoid on its' side, just clearing the rocker cover, but I can at least get the bonnet almost closed.
Can you see any problem running it this way with the butterfly horizontal etc?
Thanks
Greg
