Rob - yes, it's a servo assisted starter. I think in that video that it almost fooled itself into thinking it had started. At least it eventually started first time though, which is probably unusual for a Ducati
Hi Kris - long time, no see! No blower on his one. I draw the line at vehicles requiring 4 wheels and a roll cage if they're to have forced induction... Same parts on other S4RSs has often resulted in around 130hp at the tyre. In this tune, it's supposed to be around 150 at the motor. Largely irrelevant through. I'm no racer, so with the good exhaust system and top shelf suspension parts it's just all about the noise and poise. It does have the desmo valvetrain - incredible to think that Ducati started with that engineering concept back in the 50s, and have stuck with it ever since. Stubborn or revolutionary - I'm not sure, but it certainly gives the engine a unique sound. And thanks mate, I'll be steering well clear of inattentive drivers!
