Well, it wasn't 4th, it was 5th, but he was way high on his estimate. The RPM's at 70 mph was between 3200 and 3400. Still a bit higher than I would like to hear. I got the tire size and may fool around for a while in that formula. I suspect that the differential ratio is lower than he realized....there was a receipt for a rebuild of the differential in that stack of paperwork I saw.

Still, much more tolerable than 4K !!
