Thanks, that's the kind of thing that can drive one nuts and be expensive to troubleshoot! Back in the 80's when all I know about cars was where to put the key, I had a right rear knocking noise in my 1962 Jag Mk II sedan and no amount of shops' "fixing" of the rear end or suspension made any difference. A seasoned pro in Walnut Creek at Perry's Jaguar asked for a ride before tackling the problem and a mile or so down the road announced "you have a loose engine mounting bolt"...... and proceeded to fix it which took care of the "rear end" knock! .... the value of experience, thanks for sharing yours Dan
