I would argue it cost us lives, when George Washington decided we were not going to treat the British prisoners the way they were treating us, the British were surrendering in droves, because they were drafted into service, and knew they would be treated well and given a bed and fed well. This also occurred during the first golf war, Sadams army were surrendering in droves, they knew they would be treated well. So now no army out there will trust that we will treat their prisoners well and will die before surrendering, and will take as many of ours as possible before that happens, we have done irrevocable harm to our nation and it's a disgrace! not to mention it was and is clearly illegal! Now here is the hypocrisy, the wing nuts were hell bent to prosecute Clinton for lying under oath about a BJ, OK admittedly a crime, so now that criminal activity has been uncovered and was perpetrated by the last administration, now you don't want them prosecuted.
This is the height of hypocrisy.
I for one want all involved prosecuted, and if they are not, it will be done by some other country, but we will all be guilty of the cover up, if it goes to that extent!
