I have used these for valve cover also.

I had to remove the 'lip' from some parts of the valve cover that would have retained the cork gasket on my old M/T cast ally valve covers - I have generally been very happy with them and found they last if you dont over-tighten.

(unfortunately my VicJr heads had a bolt hole in the wrong spot & the gasket wouldn't work - reverted to cork )
