Smile The American Hot Rod - Cobra

I started in 2000 on my built, got it titled in 2002. I make major changes every winter. Two paint jobs, three trannies, two sets of rims, three sets of tires, three pairs of heads, three cams, two intakes, 2 throttle bodies, 4 mass air meters, coated my pipe three times, interior carpet twice, 3 fans, changed the rear suspension 2 or 3 times, reworked the front control arms 3 times, 3 sets of shocks etc.

Always changing something. Better and or faster

My opinion of what I wanted in a Cobra has changed a lot. I'm happy with a fast fuel injected small block that gets 21 mpg but I could be happy with a 600 hp big block that gets 12-14 mpg. I have two buddies with 600 hp Cobras that I get to drive. Love that power.

It would have been cheaper to buy a motor from Keith Craft.
When I started I thought a 350 hp small block would be enough. Now I want a 450 hp small block.
I guess a 351 W 408 stroker with 525 Hp is perfect for a Cobra. Oh, I get to drive one of those also. Good friends!

I like the idea of a hot rod. When I rode Harley's they were chopped. Lean and fast. I guess I like my toy car the same way.
And to me a Cobra is a hot rod, English body with a American V-8. Shelby's people had to change a lot of things to make the Cobra a winner. It's the American Way
