Unhappy Clutch Problem

I have an early Contemporary Cobra with an external slave cylinder. The slave is engaging when it is cold. It does not move very far, but appears to be operating in a normal fashion. I take the car out and the clutch will engage, but once it is close to operating temp the clutch fails to engage and you can not get the car to shift. My guess is that I may have water or air in the system. I haven't changed the clutch fluid for at least five years. I recently changed the adjustment on the clutch so that it would engage up high and thereby extended the length of the throw on the clutch pedal. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Len
