Some people have also tried using the side vent as an intake port. That doesn't work well either. It's a small hole. And it's a flat hole. At speed, it becomes a negative pressure area.
If you enlarge the hole and put a scoop or dam behind it, it would work.

The key is to have a
pathway for the air across the primaries. Doing this is in your wheelwell is one way (and it looks cool too

).
