If you are shooting a black powder revolver sparks occur. It is important to seal all cylinders that are loaded. After I measure and load the black powder I measure an amount of Cream of Wheat so when the ball is placed in the clinder it is positioned just below the top of the cylinder. I load all cylinders. Then I take a spatula with Crisco and cover the top of each cylinder to prevent a spark from causing an accidental discharge. Discharging a cylinder not in position with the barrel will explode the gun doing some serious injury. Black powder revolvers are fun but a little messy.
