I am putting a soft top and side curtains onto my Hurricane build. There are three ferrule sockets that go in the door to accept the side curtain.

The thickness of the door, with the inner skin, is about 1 1/2" The ferrules I've found are 1 1/4" - 1 3/8" under the head. Curious how others installed the sockets into their doors, I know Hurricane isn't the only car with the door liners.

ERA instructions show using a snapring on the ferrule - their doors must be substantially thinner along the top edge.

Open to any ideas, pictures would be great.
