He made a joke about Palins daughter getting knocked up by A-Rod during a game, but he seemed to be thinking about Bristol (18 year old who was knocked up), but it turns out that the daughter who was at the game was a 14 year old.
Letterman did end up making a statement/apology on a show. I do not watch him, but if I am building artwork on the computer he might be on in the background once in a while (I like the news on just before him). I heard his apology and wondered what the hell he did myself.
I don't think he is all that funny either, but I also do not think he deliberately went after a 14 year old kid.
