I take it by your sig that you are currently serving in Afghanistan (or have in the recent past)? If so, could you explain exactly whose rights for whom you're fighting?

I already know the politically correct patriotic battlecry "Osama!", but am seeking instead the actual economic reason for our boots on the ground.

HINT: One of the companies which benefits from our troops' blood, sweat and tears named a ship after a corporate director who later became a (recent) Secretary of State.
