Dan, my speedo broke last year as we were coming back from Laughlin, trying to follow some of you guys at speeds exceeding 120. The speedo needle started to bounce like mad and then went to zero, it only goes up to 120.
I got a couple of recommendations from AZ club members for Dick's Speedo. I dropped it off a few days before heading up north, so I didn't have a chance to install it until I got back down there this past May. Anyway, it still didn't work after paying around $120 for rebuilding it, so I thought maybe I had also broken the cable or the driven gear in the trans.
After checking out the cable and replacing the driven gear, I traced the problem back to the speedo. I called Mike and after explaining the whole thing he said to send it back, telling me it may have been a new faulty head and he would take care of it.
So, after several guys had suggested the shop, I thought it was merely a fluke and he is standing behind his work. I only sent it back last week so can't give you anymore info at this time.
I did find it odd that they didn't run it on the bench after rebuilding it however.

Been using my GPS speed indicator while driving it up here.
