Default 1986 MKIV Fan Thermostatic Switch in Rad
Hi,
I have had the pleasure of working on a 1986 AC MKIV. I had to replace the fuse and relay for the fan. and found out after the repairs that the fan turns on to early (170F). Hence it will never turn off when driving. Long story short I am looking for a new Thermostatic switch. The p/n that was on the switch is 5802082, but no name on the part.
I have alternative ideas to put a switch on the engine, but the owner would like to keep the car original if possible.

Any help would be great!!!
