#6 is exactly correct. But, no sense making it easy for them. That's really the trick, make it more difficult.
Electric cut off switch, with the key removed. Don't leave the keys in the ignition. Remove the steering wheel. If I'm going to be out of town for a while, I remove 1-2 wheels, and put them in the basement.
When I travel, I remove the electric switch key, and remove the steering wheel. I cover the car. And I use a motorcycle cable lock through the wheel spokes and around a suspension piece. I do the same thing with the trailer, cable through the wheels.
It can still be dragged away, but some one might notice that.
But if all that fails, the car is insured. I'll be heart broken. But, I'll build another one.
