Look at the team owner mergers, drivers moving around from to car owner to car owner and the changing sponsors and resulting paint jobs (actually decals) and uniform changes from race to race. They were in an exspansion mode untill last year. Grandstands were full. You'll nowadays notice a lot of empty seats. Last year was our first year we could go to Bristol Tenn. We had to apply, way early in the year, for a lottery to be able to buy season tickets. They are now advertizing tickets available on TV.
