Having spent my time in the crappy conditions of Korea, I know exactly what you mean. Over there security was very difficult and they did have the beginning of men and women out of uniform hiding AK-47s and then once the troops walked past picking them up and opening up on them. They finally barred all Koreans from any of the camps or bases as it was just to hard to tell who was who. Even the top ROK soldiers that were sent back for training were kept under close security and had no freedom to roam around. I know it is much worse over there as that has became the style of war since Korea and Vietnam really brought it to the front.
Take care and stay safe. I am sure they need more troops, but it is going to be hard to get them with all of the media lying and the seemingly endless dragging on and on of these wars.
