I used the clear hose years ago. I believe I purchased it at a pet store where it was sold for use with aquariums. I've also seen it at Home Depot in the plumbing section.
Within a few months of use, the clear hose turned yellow and started to harden.
The heat and exposure to
oil vapors probably caused that to happen. After about 2 years, I removed the puke tank and didn't use it for about 10 years.
This spring I re-installed the puke tank and used black rubber hose. I like the look of it better than the clear hose.
