Isn't the idea behind Cap n Trade to make us more energy efficient and to improve the environment?
Is that correct? Or not?
IF that is the intent, then WHY the capntrade?
Every carbon fuel has been analyzed long ago. Bunker
oil, fuel
oil, kerosene, gasoline, whatever. Each is known to produce so much carbon emission when burned. So why not just tax the fuel according to its output? No way around it for the big emitters and that is the only thing that will make them get cleaner. Tax the fuel just like they tax gasoline at the pump now. Either way, WE will pay the tax. That's always true. But a straight tax does not need thousands of pages of rules [AND LOOPHOLES] and another 75000[to start]Government worker bureaucracy.
But the straight tax does not establish control over the energy industry either. The REAL idea behind Cap 'n' Trade!!
