there's a 1" spacer under the carb and the mouth is about an 1" below the hood if i remember right. i can drop the filter base down about an inch or even use a drop base but still couldn't get the 14" cleaner under the conventional scoop. the bottom of the cleaner now is just about even with the hood opening. the condensation on the outside base of the carb and even on the butterflies after i turn it off from the outside air cooling the carb is amazing, something i had not expected.
radiator shroud is almost complete, if anyone offers to make one for you whatever the cost is worth it. i'll have pics maybe tomorrow.
