While I haven't done a 429 specificly, I have built a few 460 engines. The dimensions you give sound about right, I don't think there will be any interference. If the tranny is used, you can look on the pilot snout and see the marks where the bushing/bearing rides. It typically has a noticeable spave between it and the splines. I adapted a top loader to a flatty several years ago and had to cut a bit of the snout off for clearance in the crank, there was still plenty of room between the bushing and splines..
